The full checklist

Read the sequence before starting. Follow each step only when its preparation and branch conditions are met.

  1. With the cycle stopped and the door cool, identify the rinse-aid dispenser and its low-rinse-aid indication. Keep it separate from the detergent cup.

  2. Press the rinse-aid lid latch and open the cover. Add only liquid dishwasher rinse aid up to the full/maximum mark; avoid the air-vent hole and do not overfill.

  3. Wipe up any spilled rinse aid with a damp cloth to avoid excess foam.

  4. Close the lid until it clicks. Close the dishwasher door and allow a few moments for the low-rinse-aid indicator to update.

  5. If the lid is damaged, the indicator stays on despite a verified fill, or a wrong product entered the reservoir, contact support without adding another chemical.

When to stop

  • Stop using the dishwasher for smoke, a burning smell, damaged wiring, an active leak or water near electrical equipment. Isolate power and water only from a safe, dry, accessible location; otherwise keep clear and request qualified help.
  • Do not remove the pump cover, reach into the pump, open electrical panels, bypass the door interlock or move the installed dishwasher. Refer plumbing connections, installation and repairs to qualified service.
  • Stop if a part is cracked, jammed, sharp, insecure or different from the matching manual. Do not force a fitting or touch hot water. Never mix cleaning products.
Every check and possible next step

Start at “Is the rinse-aid reservoir already supplied?”. Choose only what you observed. An unobserved condition is its own answer.

Is the rinse-aid reservoir already supplied?

Is the rinse-aid reservoir already supplied?

A lit Add Rinse Aid indicator is a reason to inspect the reservoir, not a reason to fill the detergent cup.

Steps for this check: 1.

  • The reservoir is supplied and no refill is indicated
Observation and next step recorded — The observed condition does not call for further steps in this task. Keep the record and choose a related task if a different symptom remains. No failed internal part has been diagnosed.
  • It is low or the Add Rinse Aid indicator is lit
Continue to Is the product liquid rinse aid made for dishwashers?.
  • I have not checked this, or cannot observe it safely
Observation still needed — This check is not complete. A condition you have not observed is still unknown. Save the record and return when the preparation and observation can be completed safely; ask support if safe access is uncertain.
